Dr. Stone is illustrated by South Korean manga artist Boichi and is penned down by Japanese manga artist and writer Riichiro Inagaki. Since 2017, Dr. Stone has been serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump. The series’s storyline is set in 2019 AD, when all the humans perish due to a massive explosion followed by a flash. After being frozen for more than three thousand years, a 15-year-old boy wakes up from slumber and decides to investigate the reasons that lead to their unconsciousness. He struggles alone for six months to search out the cause of their condition. After a few months, 15 year old is accompanied by a companion Taiju Oki who informs him that they all got petrified as a response to the flash caused by the action of nitric acid.

The name of 15 year old is Senku Ishigami. After knowing that the destruction has resulted from an act of nitric acid, they formulate ways to design a new compound that will lessen the effects of nitric acid and help revive fellow beings.
Viz Media launched the first volume of the animation series in September 2018. The English version of the manga is published on the official website by Shueisha. Dr. Stone Reboot: Byakuya is the sequel of Dr. Stone that is was featured from October 2019 to December 2019. TMS Entertainment supervises the animation series of manga. The Blockbuster animation series was directed by Japanese director Shinya Lino and all the supporting, and lead characters were designed by Yuko Iwasa.

Yuichiro Kido jotted down the storyline of the animation series. The animation series was broadcasted from July to December 2019 on Tokyo TV and other prominent channels. Good Morning World, composed by Burnout Syndromes, served the series as an opening theme followed by ending theme Life. The ending theme was supervised by Rude. Crunchyroll is involved in featuring the animation series outside Asia. The anime is popular among the masses and critics.
