Stingray got the flat body and long tails they look like some different type of creatures like they do not belong to this world. They can be found in warm and shallow water all around the world mostly in the tropical and subtropical regions. Freshwater and lakes are also used by them to live. Stingray eat the animals which live under the sand, so they are carnivorous. Most of them rely on the finned fish, worms etc. they consumed or eat almost sixty-five different types of prey. They are flat and when someone look them from distance, they will think that they are flying through the water, but a closer look will show that how graceful motion is there.

Most of their species undulate their bodies from one place to other. Which shows them as they are moving as underwater wave. And some of them flap their both sides up and down just same as the wings. Stingray may not have the sharp teeth but still they have many similarities with the shark. They belong to the same group known as cartilaginous (means that their skeleton of body gets a support by the cartilage rather than the bones. When Stingray is born, they can be able to swim on their own and can feed themselves quickly after they are born.

Most of the species do not require the parental care. Female size is larger than the male size and they tend to live longer than that of male stingrays. Female stingrays can live around fifteen to twenty-two years while the male stingrays can live just for the five to seven years. They use sand when they want to sleep, they cover themselves under the sand they leave their defensive barb sticking out from their body to protect themselves from predators.
