The South Korean band Seventeen is a music band comprising thirteen teenage or young adult boys in their early 20s. The thirteen young members of the group include Hoshi, S.Coups, Joshua, Woozi, The8, Wonwoo, DK, Vernon, Jeonghan, Jun, Mingyu, Seungkwan, and Dino. The name Seventeen refers to the combination of three distinct groups named vocal, performance, and hip-hop who have combined to form a single group meaning that thirteen members from three different groups are working together (13+3+1=17).
The music band is considered to be a self-producing idol group. The group was introduced in May 2015 with the extended play 17 Carat. A South Korean music program named Show Champion announced their single Pretty You as the show’s winner for a particular week in 2016.

Seventeen has been announced as the winner of the Daesang award twice and winner of the Bonsang Award six times. The South Korean music group has won the Rookie Award three times. In 2021, the music band conducted online concerts for millions of viewers and proponents worldwide under the title Power of Love and In-complete. The South Korean music band is known to many by nicknames like Theater Kids of K-pop, K-pop Performance Power House, and Performance Kings. Seventeen is considered the only music band that made its place in the Top 10 K-pop Group of the Year 2015.

The music band was awarded the Mnet Asian Music Awards for exhibiting exceptional dancing skills in the show for the years 2017 and 2018. For adding meaning to the pop culture of Korea, the Prime Minister of Korea gave the group a Commendation for promoting the cultural heritage of the country. In 2021, the music band led by young boys was nominated for Billboard Music Awards 2021. The group was provided with the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Award in the same year.
