Pufferfish is harmless in water or unless when it is eaten. The liver, the intestine and gonads are the most poisonous and dangerous thing which can cause death to almost sixty percent people who eat them. In Japan and Korea, the Puffer fish is considered to be so delicious if they are prepared properly. Pufferfish are so poisonous their toxin is produced within them by some type of bacteria. They get these bacteria by eating the mollusks and other invertebrates. Their poison is known as the tetrodotoxin which is as deadly as the venom of the black spider. The most interesting thing about Pufferfish that they are the only bony fish which is able to close their eyes.

Pufferfish don’t have the eyelids but still they pull back the eyeballs within their sockets. And then squeeze their skin around the eyes when they are inside. They inflate themselves with water when they feel that they are going to be attacked. And start to look larger in size then they usually are. Pufferfish took the water in their stomach and shape themselves as a spiny ball which is larger as three to four times from their size. They make their own nests which are 2m across and they take week or one or half week to do this. They use shells to decorate their nests. Mostly the male fishes do this to attract the mate.

The nest Pufferfish make they utilize it for only one time and don’t use them again. The adult puffer fish just got four teeth which is fused together under one strong beak these four teeth give the name to their family as tetradontidae. As their baby start to grow teeth, Pufferfish begin to attack their brother and sister which cause a lot of death in them.
