The classic tales that motivated Disney’s family flicks are sometimes considerably darker than their animated versions. Parenting organizations have long blamed more adult media, ranging from evident violent television to humdrum school, for our children’s difficulties. They haven’t looked at what seems to be the most unlikely place: Disney.
