Bugatti is a German-based world-class company known for designing high-speed and high-quality automobiles. The company was established by its founding father Ettore Bugatti, in Molsheim, Alsace, Germany, in 1909. The most famous models designed and distributed by the company include Type 55 sports cars, Type 41 ‘Royale,’ Type 57 ‘Atlantic’ and Type 35 Grand Prix. All the luxurious models fabricated by the company are best known for their unique and spectacular design. Automobiles founded by the company are widely used in racing competitions, and cars built by the company have won several racing competitions.

Hand scrapers were manipulated to design the engine blocks. The automobile’s surface was flat and smooth and did not require any gaskets for sealing. Safety wires were added in a laced pattern so that they would look more appealing to the eyes. The company’s CEO, Ettore Bugatti, presented three light cars in the 15th Paris Motor Show in 1919. All of the light cars used a 1368cc engine and four cylinders, and each of the cylinders was loaded with two pairs of valves. The three-light cars were named Type 22, Type 13, and Type 23. Bugatti won the Monaco Grand Prix in 1929 for the first time. Jean-Pierre Wimille was the man who used to drive the company’s car in racing competitions, and he is famous for winning 24 Hours of Le Mans twice – the first victory was made in 1937, and the second victory was made in 1939.

Bugatti Type 35 is considered to be the most preferred car for racing competitions. From 1925 to 1929, Bugatti has swept, winning in the Targa Floria- open road automobile race. The death of Ettore Bugatti in 1947 and the death of his son Jean Bugatti raised questions on the fate of the company. The automobile manufacturing company met with loads of financial crisis and was eventually closed. The company launched the last model in the 1950s.
